5.4 Parameter access via acyclic data exchange (record data)
Up to a maximum of 4 bytes of useful data can be transmitted with a PKW command.
Much greater quantities of data can be transmitted with an acyclic parameter
command, on the other hand. In particular, sub-areas of arrays can be transmitted in a
command.
The acyclic connection between IO controller and encoTRive is created automatically.
The IO controller writes an acyclic request with an ID, which the encoTRive checks
and processes before finally sending a response with the corresponding ID.
Please note the following:
Only one command can be processed at a time.
The initiative always comes from the IO controller (no spontaneous messages)
Only one parameter can be processed in a command.

Request reference
Uniquely identifies request / response. The control changes the
reference for each new request to ensure unique assignment.

Request ID
0x01 Request parameter read parameter
0x02 Change parameter write parameter
2
Axis
Axis addressing for multi-axis drives.

3
Number of
parameters
With multi-parameter accesses, this field contains the number of
parameters. With encoTRive: value 0x01
4
Attribute
Specifies what is to be accessed:
0x10 Access to value
0x20 Access to description
5
Number of
elements
When accessing simple parameters: value 0x00
Otherwise: Number of array elements to be accessed.
