As a call is signalled, the user in the phone box picks up the receiver, obtains a dial
tone and dials.
When the call in the phone box is completed the charge recall signal rings on the
operator console and the call charge information is displayed in the same way as in
variant 1 or 2 (possibly with a delay depending on the configuration).
9. 10 Message and Alarm Systems
The system supports several message formats and message protocols for imple-
menting messaging and alarm systems.
ESME (External Short Message Entity): External entity that processes short messages (SMS)
SMPP (Short Message Point-to-Point Protocol): SMS Protocol
