Advanced e-mail configuration:
This menu is used to return to the parameters entered when configuring the messaging system via the
assistant. The additional configurable parameters are:
-"Main" tab, "Domain name" field:
this field is used to define several domain names for e-mail accounts managed by Alcatel Omni-
PCX Office. The main domain name is entered in the "Main"field. The secondary domain names
are listed in the "List of names" field.
To add a domain name, enter the new name in the "New name " field and click on the "Add"
button. To delete a domain name, select the name to be deleted from the "List of names " field
and click on the "Destroy" button.
-"Main" tab, "Mail activity"field:
This field corresponds to the connection frequency (in minutes) used to send and retrieve electronic
messages.
-"Access" tab, "Envelope Field" field
In the case of a POP3 subscription with Multidrop option, Alcatel OmniPCX Office needs to know
which enveloped field is being used. Alcatel OmniPCX Office uses the default parameter X-Enve-
lope-To. If a different parameter is used, select the "Other" option and enter the parameter in the
adjacent text entry area.
Nota : The IAP must provide the parameter used. If this should happen, you can send a mes-
sage to a mail box using the default account, and consult the message header to find
the parameter used.
- "Message" tab, "Welcome message " field
As soon as a new mail box is created, a welcome message, the subject and body of which can be
modified, is sent to the relevant user.
Using the User Assistant
The User Assistant is used to create all local e-mail accounts when Alcatel OmniPCX Office is the mes-
saging server.
The following figure shows this assistant and the parameters to be entered in relation to the choices
made.
