ISDN modem installation process (example)
This is for a FRITZ modem.
- Insert the modem installation CD-ROM
-Click the FRITZ !X PC Capi driver installer icon
- In the Wizard mode, indicate the serial port to connect the modem.
- At the end of the Wizard, reboot the PC
- Insert the modem installer CD-ROM
-Click the FRITZ !32 Communication Software installer icon
- In the Wizard mode, select Install and configure
- Use the default installation (click on Next in each Wizard screen)
- At the end of the Wizard mode, check the Install Capi-port driver box
- Select AVM ISDN1 Internet (PPP over ISDN)
- Reboot the PC.
RAS configuration process
-Open the Control panel.
-Open the Network folder.
- Select Services tab
-Click on Add.
- Select in the list Remote Access Services or, if not installed, add "remote access service" using pro-
cedure described in previous paragraph.
-Click on Properties.
- The list shows Com 1 Alizé Direct serial link connection
-Add FRITZ AWM ISDN1 Internet (PPP over ISDN. Important If another modem is all ready
installed on the port you decided to use, remove it and install the new one.
-Click on Continue
-Click on Close
- Reboot the PC
Alcatel OmniPCX Office remote access creation
-Open the My Computer Windows.
- Select the Dial up network icon.
- Create a new connection using default parameters and entering a connection name (xxx)
- Verify that the modem used is well AWM ISDN1 Internet (PPP over ISDN).
-Click on Next
- Do not enter any telephone number
-Click on Finish.
- Close the folder.
