4 Replace the tubes.
Replace ripped or stuck tubes with new ones.
a Lay gauze below the drain pinch valves.
• This tissue paper blots up any liquid that overflows when the old
tubes are removed.
b Remove the damaged tube from the drain pinch valve.
c Prepare the same type of the spare tube as the damaged one.
d Fit both ends of the spare tube over the respective joints as shown
on the right.
e Fit the spare tube into the rear hook.
f Wipe up if there is any leaked liquid.

NOTE:
To disconnect the tubes from the instrument, pull the tubes
off the joints in a straight line, as shown by the arrows in the
figure on the right. Applying force diagonally to the joints can
break the joints.
NOTE:
Check the length and marks to select the correct tube.
