6. Remove the upper shielding by removing four
carriage bolts, flat washers and flange nuts at 1
and four carriage bolts, flat washers and flange
nuts at 2. It may be necessary to loosen two or
three bolts between the lower shield and header
frame if shield is sandwiched between these
components.
7. If the conditioner drive shaft assembly, 3,
requires repair, it should be partially disas-
sembled before the bevel gearbox is removed
from the machine as the sheave retaining bolt
may be removed easier.
