3. Remove the tension on the conditioner roll drive
belt by loosening the nuts, 1, on the spring
tension rod until the belt is loose on the sheaves.

4. Remove the divider sheet assembly from the unit
by removing the cap screw and locknut, 1, and
six carriage bolts, lock washers, and nuts, 2.
NOTE: It may be convenient to remove the swing out
shield for better access. To remove the shield,
remove the two cap screws and locknuts, 3, and lift
off the shield.

5. Remove the four cap screws, 1, and washers that
retain the gearbox shaft flange to the lower
sheave.
NOTE: Leave one cap screw partially threaded in to
support the bottom of the gearbox.
