1. Standby units. Verify that coolant heaters
are operating. Reduce electric governor
gain and/or stability settings.
2. Check ambient temperature.
3. Operate engine from a temporary supply
of fuel known to be within recommended
specifications. Refer to Section 5. A
Cetane improver additive may improve
engine operation. See Service Bulletin
No. 3379001.
4. Adjust governor. Refer to manufacturer’s
instructions.
5. Connect battery charger directly to battery
terminals.
6. Loosen actuator capscrews and tighten
again. Refer to PT PACER Troubleshoot-
ing and Repair Manual, Bulletin No.
3810441. Apply and remove battery
voltage to actuator.
7. Replace o-rings and/or spring if required.

Repair Manual, Bulletin No. 3810441.
8. Replace fuel pump. Refer to Procedure
5-02.
