3. (Optional) Depending on available router flash space, delete any unused *.cwe files to free up
space in the flash directory. Use the del command to delete files. For example:
del at t . cwe
4. Disable automatic SIMdetection using the modemcc command:
modemcc 0 aut o_si m of f
5. Depending on the carrier command options available for the cellular module, enter the carrier
command. For example, to switch the carrier firmware to Verizon, enter:

Note The update process takes several minutes. Do not power-cycle the router until the
process is complete.
6. Once the module’s firmware image has been updated, you may need to configure the modem
parameters for the carrier, for example, the APN value.
7. Enable automatic SIMdetection using the modemcc command:
modemcc 0 aut o_si m on
