stp fwddelay This command displays or sets the CIST/MSTI bridge forward delay.
SYNTAX
stp fwddelay [forward-delay]
forward-delay - The maximum time this device will wait before
changing states (i.e., discarding to learning to forwarding).
(Range: 4-30 seconds)
Minimum: The higher of 4 or [(Max. Message Age / 2) + 1]
Maximum: 30

COMMAND USAGE
This delay is required because every device must receive information about
topology changes before it starts to forward frames. In addition, each port
needs time to listen for conflicting information that would make it return to
a discarding state; otherwise, temporary data loops might result.

stp cname This command displays or sets the configuration name and revision for the
multiple spanning tree region in which this switch is located.
SYNTAX
stp cname config-name config-number
config-name - The name for this MSTI. (Maximum length:
32 characters)
config-number - The revision for this MSTI. (Range: 0-65535)

Configuration name: switch’s MAC address
