14. Loosen the screw (13).
15. Loosen the screws (12).
16. Use a suitable tool to push the bolt (14) completely out of the lever (15).
The thread lever is loose.

17. Turn the handwheel until the next screws on the arm shaft crank are
accessible.
18. Loosen the screws (16).
19. Tie the oil wick (17) off the felt (18).
20. Pull the needle bar linkage (11) including thread lever and oil wick (17)
out of the machine head.
