8. Insert and tighten the new knives and the new thread-pulling knife.
9. Set the knives (6) and the thread-pulling knife (5) to the dimensions
given above.
10. Loosen the screws (9).
11. Move the knife holder and set the knife (6) to the cutting position.
12. Turn the screws (4) to set the clamping force.
13. Carry out a cutting test and adjust the setting if necessary.

14. Assemble the trimming and clamping device for the needle threads
such that the thread-pulling knife (5) is centered between the needles.
15. Set the throttle valve (10) such that the thread-pulling knife (5)
completes its upward movement swiftly, but not abruptly.
