DEFAULT SETUP
Setup details
This section describes the default setup of the communication ports. This is the setup of the EUIC following a default
setup load as described in “Hardware” on page 11-7. The command string code is not cleared on a default setup load.
Panel Port
The default panel port settings are as follows.
● baud: 19200
● parity: none
● data bits: 8
● stop bits: 1
● panel address: 1
Ensure that the 3GS port settings match these so that communications between the 3GS and EUIC can take place.
Host port
The default host port settings are as follows.
● baud: 9600
● parity: none
● databits: 8
● stopbits: 2
Ensure that the PC comms port settings match these so that communications between the PC and EUIC can take place.
Since these settings are also used for the video multiplexer communications (if applicable), they must match the video
settings as specified in the video multiplexer user manual.
