Chapter 7: Software
1 Look at and adjust the mounting until the yellow dots are centered in each
bubble.
2 Touch the BACK button to return to the DIAGNOSTICS menu, or the HOME
button to return to the MAIN menu.
Base Deflection
Use this command to check for any deflection in the base of the Edge and your
part. If this test fails, run the TILT command to test for any tilt in the base of the
Edge.
1 Set up the FARO compensation cone approximately ⅔ of the Edge's reach
away from its base.
2 Place a properly compensated probe firmly in the cone.
3 Touch DIAGNOSTICS > MOUNT > BASE DEFLECTION.
4 Press the GREEN button and move the tubes and joints of the Edge while
keeping the probe firmly seated in the cone.

OTE: Press the GREEN button to reset the screen at any time.
5 Press the RED button to stop.
6 Any deflection of the base is recorded and displayed on the screen. All of the
points must be within the circle on the graph.
7 Touch the BACK button to return to the DIAGNOSTICS menu, or the HOME
button to return to the MAIN menu.
Temperature
Use the Temperature commands to monitor the temperature of the Edge.
Graph
Use this command to view the recorded temperature of the Edge over a long
period of time.
• Notice the temperature for each section of the Edge. Touch the 30 Minutes, 12
Hour, or 24 Hour buttons to change the graph.
• Touch the BACK button to return to the DIAGNOSTICS menu, or the HOME
button to return to the MAIN menu.
