Chapter 7: Software
Environment Log
Use this command to generate a report of environmental events. Save this report
to an external location.
1 Touch a location for the file:
•SD RAM Card
•USB Drive
2 Touch the BACK button to return to the DIAGNOSTICS menu, or the HOME
button to return to the MAIN menu.

OTE: Only use this command when instructed by FARO Customer Service.
System Information
Use this command to view the system information of the Edge.
• View the information for the hardware and software systems of the Edge.
• Touch the BACK button to return to the DIAGNOSTICS menu, or the HOME
button to return to the MAIN menu.
FARO Edge Compensation
Use this command to perform the compensation of the Edge.
CAUTION: This should only be done if the Single Point Articulating Test
(SPAT) fails. See “Single Point Articulating Test (SPAT)” on page 164.
1 Set up the FARO compensation cone approximately ⅔ of the Edge's reach
away from its base.
2 Place a properly compensated probe firmly in the cone.
3 Touch COMPENSATION > FAROARM COMPENSATION.
