Typographical Styles
Throughout this manual, specific commands to be entered by the user appear on a separate
line in bold typeface. In addition, use of the Enter or Return key is represented as <ENTER>.
The following example demonstrates this convention:
cd /usr <ENTER>
Commands or file names that appear within the text of this manual are represented in the fol-
lowing style: “...the fore_install program will install this distribution”
As in the following example, any messages appearing on your screen during software installa-
tion and network interface administration will appear in Courier font to distinguish them
from the rest of the text.
