Important Information Indicators
To call your attention to important information that must be reviewed to ensure correct and
complete installation, as well as to avoid problems with your software, FORE Systems utilizes
the following CAUTION/NOTE indicators.
Information contained in CAUTION statements is important for proper installation/opera-
tion. CAUTION statements can prevent possible equipment damage and/or loss of data and
will be indicated as:

You risk damaging your equipment and/or
software if you do not follow these instructions.
Information contained in NOTE statements has been found important enough to be called to
the special attention of the operator and will be set off from the text as follows:
NOTE
FORE Systems strongly recommends that you
disconnect the serial cable once you have
configured the ForeRunner switch and then
access the ForeRunner switch over the ATM
network.
