4.3.7 Port-Channel
This section contains the Port-Channel module messages.
Error Message Error: Failed to set <portChannelName>. Port Channel Name
must contain alphaNumeric characters only.
Explanation The Port Channel Name is not alphanumeric character.
Recommended Action Set Port Channel Name with up to 15 alphanumeric character.
Error Message Error: Failed to create lag. Valid name not specified.
Explanation The Port Channel Name is blank.
Recommended Action Assign the Port Channel Name with up to 15 alphanumeric
character before creating the port-channel interface.
Error Message Error: This port-channel name already exists.
Explanation The port-channel name is already used.
Recommended Action Set other port-channel name which is not configuerd.
Error Message Error: Failed to set Port Channel.
Explanation There are 64 maximum Port Channels already created.
Recommended Action Reduce other unnecessary Port Channel. Maximum supported
port-channel is 64.
Error Message Error: This port channel is an up stream port of link state group.
Internal ports can't be its member.
Explanation The port-channel is set to be the upstream port of a link state
group. So, the internal port can not be the member of a uplink
port-channel.
Recommended Action Add internal port to be the member of the downlink port-channel.
Error Message Error: This port channel is a downstream port of link state group.
External ports can't be its member.
Explanation The port-channel is set to be the downstream of a link state
group. So, the external port can not be the member of a
downstream port-channel.
Recommended Action Add external port to be the member of the uplink port-channel.
Error Message <interface_identifier> is already a member of another LAG.
Explanation The interface is already attached to another port-channel.
Recommended Action Remove the interface from other port-channel and then add it to
the new port channel.
