5.2.7 CAM Menu
The CAM menu comprises a sub menu for each CAM slot. You can associate multiplexes to
CAMs and select individual programs.
To access the CAM main menu:
Navigate Root > CAM.
5.2.7.1 CAM 1/2 Sub Menu
The CAM slot sub menus each comprises of the following items:
CAM Association – Use to associate the CAM slot with a multiplex in.
Descrambling Mode – There are two modes to choose from:
Full – No filter is applied.
Selective – A filter is applied to the program elements based on the CAS ID of the CAM.
Automatic Recovery Policy – Use to configure the ProView 7000 to reset the CAM when
one of the following alarms is raised:
CAM Descrambling Failure
CAM Processing Failure
Packet Loss after Descrambling
CAM MMI – Use to access the MMI (Man Machine Interface).
5.2.7.2 CAM Association
To associate a CAM with a multiplex:
1. Navigate Root > CAM > CAM (1 or 2).
2. Select CAM Association.
3. Select a multiplex, TS1, TS2, TS3 or TS4.
5.2.7.3 Selecting All Elementary Streams
To select all elementary streams for configuring:
1. Navigate Root > CAM > CAM (1 or 2) > Descrambling Mode.
2. Select Full.
