4.1.6 EMS Status Bar
The ProView 7000 EMS Status Bar displays graphical and textual messages on the status of
the EMS operation, see
Figure 4–1 on page 41 for its location.
4.1.7 EMS Menu
The EMS Menu provides access to ProView 7000 EMS control and managing functions in a
menu format with drill down ability. The information provided by the EMS Menu is divided
into the following main menu branches:
File managing menu, which allows performing basic commands, such as adding device,
open stream properties and more. For details, see
4.2.1 File Menu.
Actions activation menu, allows performing advanced commands, such as system
configuring, opening the Connect Wizard, and more. For details, see 4.2.2 Actions Menu.
Administration menu, allows removing ProView 7000 devices from the group of devices
managed by the ProView 7000 EMS. For details, see 4.2.3 Administration Menu.
Tools access menu, allows the user to directly access tools for managing the device. For
details, see 4.2.4 Tools Menu.
Window set-up menu, allows the user to manage the explorer tabs of the interface. For
details, see 4.2.5 Window Menu.
Help menu, provides information about the software developers, version, and help
information. For details, see 4.2.6 Help Menu.
4.1.8 EMS Toolbar
The EMS toolbar has buttons for direct access to the ProView 7000 EMS most used control
and managing functions.

Use the EMS toolbar items to activate one of the following managing tools for the active
device (selected in the Device box):
Add Device – Displays the Add ProView 7000 dialog to add a device to the
ProView 7000 EMS managed devices. For details, see 4.3.3.1 Adding a New ProView 7000
Device.
Device Explorer – Opens a Device Explorer tab for the selected device. For details, refer
to 4.1.3 Device Explorer Tabs.
Properties – Displays the Properties dialog for the selected device. For details, refer to
4.5 Element Properties Configuration.
