11.2 Defrost Operation

The following defrost operations, “Standard Defrost”, “Forced Defrost” and “Manual Defrost” are available.
(1) Standard Defrost
This operation starts according to the outdoor temperature, the outdoor evaporating temperature and the operating time.
(2) Forced Defrost
This operation starts when the indoor unit repeats Thermo-ON/OFF* operation and therefore cannot start the “Standard
Defrost.”
(3) Manual Defrost
This operation starts when the push switch “PSW1” on the outdoor unit PCB is pressed for more than 3 seconds during
maintenance, etc. (This function cannot be used when the pressure and the outdoor evaporating temperature is high or
at the beginning of the operation.)
NOTE:
Do not repeatedly use “Manual Defrost” frequently.
* Thermo-ON: The outdoor unit and some indoor units are running.
Thermo-OFF: The outdoor unit and some indoor units stay on, but don’t run.
