3.3 Correction factors
3.3.1 Piping length correction factor
The correction factor is based on the equivalent piping length in metres (EL) and the height di󰀨erence between outdoor unit
and indoor unit in metres (H).
H:
Height di󰀨erence between indoor unit and outdoor unit (m).
- H>0: Outdoor unit is placed higher than indoor unit (m).
- H<0: Outdoor unit is placed lower than indoor unit (m).
L:
Actual one-way piping length between indoor unit and outdoor unit (m).
EL:
Equivalent one-way piping length between indoor unit and outdoor unit (m).
- One 90° elbow is 0.5 m.
- One 180° bend is 1.5 m.
