10.3 DHW
In addition, the unit can be combined with sanitary tank to delivery DHW. When DHW operation with heat pump is required,
the 3-way valve for DHW changes its normal position diverting to the sanitary tank inner coil, allowing to heat the tank water
temperature.
DHW operation should be enabled from the master controller.
DHW can be heated up by heat pump / DHW Electric Heater / boiler / solar panel depending on heat source availability and
setting.
The conguration of DHW availability should be done through the master controller.

NOTE:
1. When DHW is available DHW sensor of [TDHW] on PCB1 of indoor unit must be added to detect DHW water
temperature.
2. DHW sensor of [TDHW] must be embedded in hot water side of DHW tank to detect hot water temperature. DHW sensor
of [TDHW] must be installed above DHW Electric Heater and inner coil to detect hottest water temperature during DHW
heat pump or DHW Electric Heater operation.
3. Auxiliary DHW sensor of [TDHW1] is optional to detect water temperature in the DHW tank of lower side, which can help
to manage DHW operation with heat pump. When Auxiliary DHW sensor of [TDHW1] is choosed, Auxiliary sensor on
PCB1 of indoor unit must be congured as function of [TDHW1] referring to 10.10.3. Auxiliary DHW sensor of [TDHW1]
need be installed on the metal surface of tank at the top part of inner coil and be well insulated to detect hottest water
temperature during DHW heat pump operation. When Auxiliary DHW sensor of [TDHW1] is congured and installed,
Auxiliary DHW sensor of [TDHW1] will be involved to manage DHW operation with heat pump, otherwise only DHW
sensor of [TDHW] is used to manage DHW operation.
4. When DHW is available Optional Output signal need be congured as function of [3WV DHW] to drive 3-way valve for
DHW.
5. Inner coil surface area is critical to heat up DHW with heat pump. Inadequate coil surface area will cause less eciency,
additional heating time, and stoppage of heat pump.
