RF Preselector Section
RF Preselector Section Purpose
Amplifiers
There are three different amplifiers used to cover the 30 MHz to 3.6 GHz
frequency range of the A22 Radiated Filter assembly, two for the tunable
filter paths and one for the fixed filter paths.
These amplifiers are designed to compensate for the filter loss as well as
the overall RF Preselector section loss. Since this is the only gain stage for
loss compensation in the RF Preselection path, the gain of these amplifiers
will be greater than any loss on the A22 Radiated Filter assembly. This
means that there will be an overall gain through the A22 Radiated Filter
assembly.
