Note
• The needle yoke brake should not be set until the height of the needle on the knotter and
the upper dead point of the needle have previously been checked and set, if necessary!
• Before accomplishing any settings on the needle yoke brake, the needle yoke needs to
be in idle position (i.e. the crank arm (1) and needle connecting rod (2) are in extended
position). This can be recognized by the fact that the trigger roller (8) is placed in the
recess of the knotter gear
• The distance between cross tube of the needle yoke (4) and the stop (7) of the brake (3)
must be “c” = 20....40mm in idle position (crank arm and needle connecting rod are
extended)
If dimension “c” is not reached, dimension “c” must be corrected by moving the brake (3) in the
oblong hole (A).
If dimension “c” cannot be achieved even after moving the brake, check the position of the
needles relative to the knotter.
Accomplish the settings of the spring length X only in idle position (extended position).
• Pre-tension the spring (5) by tightening the nut (6) until the spring length X is:
Double knotter X = 110 mm
Single knotter X = 120 mm
