3 Introduction
These operating instructions contain fundamental instructions. These must be observed in
operation and maintenance. For this reason, these operating instructions must be read by
operating personnel before commissioning and use, and must be available for easy reference.
Follow both the general safety instructions contained in the section on safety and the specific
safety instructions contained in the other sections.

3.1 General description of the machine

The KRONE-Rotary Rake Swadro 2000 is a machine for swathing cut crops (e.g. grass, hay,
leguminous vegetation, straw) on farms.
It is towed behind agricultural tractors of sufficient power that are also equipped with suitable
interfaces for the installation and operation of the machine.
The Swadro 2000 is a towed machine and is therefore equipped with its own running gear. The
total of 6 rotors are attached to folding outrigger arms.
In the transport position, which is used primarily for transport on roads and to save space when
parking the machine, the machine is folded up.
In the working position, the rotors are folded out and can be moved towards or away from each
other with the help of two movable suspension arms. In this way, it is possible to change the
working width of the machine.
The Swadro 2000 is operated from the driving position on the tractor, using the associated
operating terminal. The working attachments are powered by the tractor. The drive for the
working attachments is transferred by means of a removable cardan shaft. The drive to the
machinery is operated from the driving position on the tractor. The rotors are folded up and
down with the help of a hydraulic system, which is electronically activated.

The rotary rake is used for swathing of cut crops. It is attached on the rear in the three-point
block KAT II and KAT III.
