End-To-End Installation Tests for Ring Applications of the DDM-2000 OC-12 Multiplexer

(2) Respond to the Execute (Y/N)? prompt with a y.
(3) Establish a remote login from this node to the other terminating node of that
DS3/EC-1 circuit using the rlgn-
tid
; command.
(4) Change the violation monitoring mode from VMR to CC in the same manner as
at the other terminating node.
(5) Perform a DS3 or EC-1 loopback on all DS3 and/or EC-1 groups at this node by
issuing the following command:
a. Issue the command opr-lpbk-t3:
address;
and/or opr-lpbk-ec1:
address;
b. At the execute prompt, enter Y
c. Verify that loopbacks are present by entering rtrv-alm
(6) Enter the toggle command to return CIT communications to the other termi-
nating node.
(7) Enter the command test-trmsn-t3 followed by a carriage return.
(8) Enter the address of the DS3/EC1 circuit under test at the address prompt, fol-
lowed by a carriage return.
NOTE:
This command can only be executed by the 3DS3 circuit pack.
(9) Enter mux at the direction prompt, followed by a carriage return.
(10)Enter a 1 at the duration prompt for a 1-minute test, followed by a carriage
return. This test should pass without any errors.
(11)Isolate and correct the problem if errors are observed.
(12)Repeat this procedure for each equipped DS3/EC-1 circuit.
(13)After completion of DS3/EC-1 testing release, the DS3 loop backs by perform-
ing the following:
NOTE:
Leave EC-1 loopbacks up at this time.
a. Enter the toggle command to return CIT communications to the looped-
back terminating node.
b. Issue the command rls-lpbk-t3:
address
;
c. Verify DS3 loopbacks are no longer present by entering rtrv-alm;
(14)Enter the toggle command to return CIT communications to the other termi-
nating node.
(15)Enter the upd;command to update the SYSCTL.
