End-To-End Installation Tests for Ring Applications of the DDM-2000 OC-12 Multiplexer
Lucent Technologies - Proprietary
See Notice on first page
(16)If circuit packs were moved to different slot positions to perform this test, remove
those circuit packs, enter the upd; command to update the SYSCTL, and
return the circuit packs to their original positions.
(17)If violation monitor removal was set differently than the desired mode in order to
perform this test, return these nodes to the desired mode using the set-t3
command.
(18)If there are more than two terminating nodes in the ring, repeat this procedure at
other terminating nodes until all DS3/EC-1 circuits to be put into service have
been tested.
(19)For EC-1 circuits that terminate with a 3STS1E circuit pack at one end and a
3DS3 circuit pack at the other end, leave EC-1 loopbacks up at the 3STS1E end
until service is applied. This will eliminate incoming STS-1 AIS alarms at the
3DS3 end.
(20)For EC-1 circuits that terminate with 3STS1E circuit packs at both ends, delete
STS-1 cross-connections associated with these circuit packs until EC-1 service
is applied. This will eliminate incoming STS-1 AIS alarms generated by the
3STS1E circuit packs when a valid EC-1 signal is absent. Use the dlt-crs-
sts1
command to delete terminating as well as all pass-through cross-con-
nects for these EC-1 circuits throughout the ring. The EC-1 loopbacks may be
released using the rls-lpbk-ec1 command.
