10.7.5.2 Setting Arrhythmia Alarm Shielding Period
The arrhythmia algorithm can disable alarm light and alarm tone for designated period of time when certain
arrhythmia alarms are detected.
This function is password protected. For more information, see Arrhy Shield Time in 27.4.6The Other Tab.
• For the following alarms, alarm light and alarm tone cannot be disabled: HR high, HR low,
Tachycardia, Bradycardia, Afib End, Irr. Rhythm End.
• Alarm indication rules for alarms in the atrial fibrillation chain are the same with those for the
medium priority chains.
• The arrhythmia shielding period is only applicable to the alarms in the medium priority chains and
atrial fibrillation chain. For the alarms in the high priority chain, alarm tone and alarm light are
presented as soon as the alarm condition is detected.
