2.3.2 External Modules
The external modules are used to monitor the patient’s physiological parameters, record patient information
and data, and connect external devices. The monitor provides the following modules:
■Parameter modules: acquires and processes the patient’s data and sends the data to the main unit. For
details, see the relevant parameter chapters.
2.3.2.1 Available Modules
The following table lists available modules
You can simultaneously use maximum two IBP modules (built-in IBP not included) . The other modules can only
be used one at a time. Otherwise, the monitor will issue a module conflict prompt.
For example, if a CO
2
module is already loaded and then another CO
2
module is inserted, the monitor will then
prompt module conflict. To solve the problem of module conflict, just remove a module.
(4) Network Connector
It is a standard RJ45 connector which connects the monitor to the central monitoring system
(CMS) or other network devices.
(5) USB connectors
It connects USB devices, for example the barcode reader.
(6) VGA Connector
It connects an external display, which extends the display capability of your monitor. The
contents displayed on the external display screen accords with those displayed on the monitor
screen.
(7) Multifunctional Connector
It outputs defibrillator synchronization signals, nurse call signals and analogy output signals, also
provides RS232 communication for interfacing with external devices, DIAP, etc.
