To prepare the CO
2
module for measurement, follow this procedure:
1. Select the appropriate gas sample line and watertrap according to the patient category.
2. Connect the DRYLINE II watertrap to the CO
2
module, and connect the gas sample line to the watertrap.
3. Connect the other end of the gas sample line to the patient.
â—† For intubated patients requiring an airway adapter, install the airway adapter between the patient
circuit and the ventilator Y-piece.
