Error messages and solutions
When you create your external location, the system validates the location. The system
checks the following aspects:

Check the remote folder syntax.
•
Check the validity of the hostname.
•
Check the possibility of connecting to the remote host.
•
Check if the remote destination exists.
•
Check the possibility of writing to the remote destination.
If one of these steps fails, an error message is generated. You can read the possible so-

Possible SolutionMessage on the User

Check whether the remote username and password are
correct.
•
For SMB, check the remote username syntax:
- For a remote host user: <hostname>\<username>
or <ip_address>\<username>
- For a domain user: <domainname>\<username>
•
For WebDAV, check the path syntax.
