3. Install the new guide rail on the switch.
A. When replacing Stainless Steel rails, apply Loctite 243 to the M6 x 10 mm rail
mounting screws and the M6 x 12 mm V-brace screws (2X).
B. Install the new rail using the alignment pin in one mounting hole to position it
as shown in Figure 7-16. Insert the M6 x 10 mm guide rail mounting screw in
the other mounting hole and tighten to 3.4 N•m [30 in•lb].
If the straight rail is being replaced, make sure that the flipper seats properly on
the arm bearing.
C. Remove the alignment pin and insert the M6 x 10 mm guide rail mounting
screw in that mounting hole and tighten to 3.4 N•m [30 in•lb].
D. Insert the two M6 x 12 mm V-brace screws and tighten to 3.4 N•m [30 in•lb].
The Loctite must cure for 2 hours at 22° C [72° F] before using the transport
system.
4. Return the MM LITE transport system to normal operation.
NOTICE The alignment tool must be used when installing rails
on the switches to make sure that they are properly
located for proper vehicle motion.
