13.1.6) Fuel pressure
See Pic. 77.
There is no specific connection on the engine for reading of fuel pressure. For
survey or if function is disturbed, it is an advantage to take readings of fuel
pressure.
For connection it is recommended to fit an additional hose nipple 4/6 Q which
is screwed with the connection for fuel tube W.
➪ Remove banjo screw M10x1x19. Fit additonal hose nipple (with inte-
grated orifice) Q and 2 sealing rings E with banjo screw R M10x1x30.
Tightening torque of banjo screw: 17 Nm (150 in.lb).
â–  ATTENTION: At tightening of the fuel lines W support the specific line, to
prevent any internal stress.
â—† NOTE: The illustration shows an additional hose nipple connected
to fuel line of carburetor 1/3. The additional nipple can be
fitted of course to any other connection, with the exception
of outlet T.
All the necessary items are available as spare parts.

â–  ATTENTION: The fuel pressure must be approx. 250 hPa above the
constantly varying boost pressure in the "airbox". Oth-
erwise the perfect function of the carburetors is not assured.
For further information see Chapter 9.2).
Fit the pressure gauge where it can be easily observed by the operator of the
ground test run.
â–  ATTENTION: Make sure there is no danger that the gauge and hose get
drawn into the propeller airstream. If necessary, secure with
cable ties.
If during the test run the nominal fuel pressure values are not met, stop engine
and start with the trouble shooting procedure.
â–² WARNING: No aircraft take-off before an obvious fault has been found
and eliminated!
