9.2.3 RS232 Interface
The “RS232” connector provides an RS232 interface
for reading signals (see page 51). The interface can
be configured via rs232_config. Data can be read via
rs232_read_data.
9.2.4 McBSP Interface
The “SPI / I2C” connector provides an McBSP
interface (see page 52). The read_mcbsp command
lets you query the 32-bit data word most recently
fully transmitted to the specified memory location. It
is up to the user whether to interpret it as one 32-bit
value or two 16-bit values. Signals (position values)
received via the McBSP interface can also be inte-
grated directly into Processing-on-the-fly correction
of workpiece or scan-system motion (see page 177
and page 216) or can be used for online positioning
(see page 165). The signals and operating conditions
of the McBSP interface are presented on page 52.
