1.3 Unpacking Instructions and
Typical Package Contents
 Carefully remove the RTC
®
5 PC interface board
from the package.
 Keep the packaging, including the antistatic bag
the RTC
®
5 board is delivered in, so that in case of
repair the board can be properly repackaged and
returned to SCANLAB.
 Also remove all other articles from the package.
Check that all parts have been delivered. Refer to
the corresponding packaging list.
An RTC
®
5 package typically includes an RTC
®
5
board and a data CD (containing the corre-
sponding software (see below) and this manual).
Some product versions may also supply
additional components such as data cables or
converters (see "Optional Accessories", page 29).
1.3.1 Delivered Software
The delivered RTC
®
5 software package contains
software drivers for Microsoft’s WINDOWS 8,
WINDOWS 7, WINDOWS Vista and WINDOWS XP
(SP2 or higher) (32-bit or 64-bit) operating systems.
The data CD contains all files as unzipped versions.
For easy identification and archiving of different
software versions (also see "Revision History",
page 24), the complete software package is also
delivered zipped:

program files and the 32-bit DLL in the same
directory!)
