sounds,shuttheengineoffimmediatelyanddeterminecauseorproblem.
Inspectforthefollowing:
A.Looselterorsuctionlines.
B.Blockedsuctionline.
C.Faultychargereliefvalve.
D.Faultygearpump.
10.Oncetheliftcylinderdoesmoveinten(10)tofteen(15)seconds,proceed
tonextstep.
11.SetthetractionspeedrangetoLOW.Withtheengineatlowidlespeed,
movethetractionpedaltoabout1/2forwardspeedandholdfor30seconds.
Bothunlockedwheelsshouldturnintheforwarddirectionsmoothly.
Note:Ifthewheelsrotateinthewrongdirection,stopengineandcheck
forproperhydraulichoseandelectricalconnectionsattractionpumpand
motors.Correctasneeded.
12.Movethetractionpedaltoabout1/2reversespeedandholdfor30seconds.
Bothunlockedwheelsshouldturninthereversedirectionsmoothly.
13.Removethewheelclampsorlocksfromthemachine.
14.Safelyclamporlockthefrontrightandrearleftwheelstopreventthemfrom
rotating.
15.Repeatstep11and12.
16.Removethewheelclampsorlocksfromthemachine.
17.SetthetractionspeedrangetoHIGH.Withtheengineatlowidlespeed,
movethetractionpedaltoabout1/2forwardspeedandholdfor30seconds.
Bothfrontwheelsshouldturnintheforwarddirectionsmoothly.Therear
wheelsshouldnotrotate.
Note:Iftherearwheelsrotate,solenoidvalveSVorpressuredifferential
valvePD1inthetractionmanifoldmaynotbeshifting.
18.Movethetractionpedaltoabout1/2reversespeedandholdfor30seconds.
Bothfrontwheelsshouldturninthereversedirectionsmoothly.Therear
wheelsshouldnotrotate.
19.Checkoperationofthetractionsysteminterlockswitches(seeCheck
OperationofInterlockSwitches(page6–45)).
20.Ifthepiston(traction)pumporatractionmotorwasreplacedorrebuilt,run
themachinesoallwheelsturnslowlyforten(10)minutes.
21.StoptheengineandsetthekeyswitchtotheOFFposition.Removethejack
standsandlowerthemachinetotheground.
22.Checkhydraulicreservoirandllifnecessary.Checkhydrauliccomponents
forleaksandtightenanylooseconnections.
23.Operatemachinebygraduallyincreasingitsworkloadtofulloveraten(10)
minuteperiod.
