1.Removesnapringsfromyoke.
IMPORTANT
Supportyokewhenremovingcrossandbearingstopreventyoke
damage.
2.Pressbasemountsfromjointyoke.Slidebasemountbearingsfromcross.
3.Useapresstoremovecrossandremainingbearingsfromyoke:
A.Placeasmallsocketagainstonebearingandalargesocketagainstthe
yokeontheoppositeside.
B.Whilesupportingthelargesocket,applypressureonsmallsocketto
partiallypushtheoppositebearingintothelargesocket.
C.Removeyokefrompress,grasppartiallyremovedbearingandtapon
yoketocompletelyremovethebearing.
D.Repeatprocessforremainingbearing.
E.Thoroughlycleanandinspectallcomponents.
JointYokeAssembly
1.Applyacoatingofgreasetobearingboresofyoke.Also,applygreaseto
bearingsandsealsofcrossassembly.
2.Pressonebearingpartiallyintoyoke.
IMPORTANT
Takecarewheninstallingcrossintobearingtoavoiddamaging
bearingseal.
3.Carefullyinsertcrossintobearingandyoke.
4.Holdcrossinalignmentandpressbearinginuntilithitstheyoke.
5.Carefullyplacesecondbearingintoyokeboreandontocrossshaft.Press
bearingintoyoke.
6.Installsnapringstobearingstosecurebearingsinplace.
7.Installremainingbearingsoncross.
