8.3 Paper Jam Problems
This section describes possible causes and remedies for paper jams.

Document jam
occurs frequently.
Is the appropriate type of
document being used?
Correctly load the appropriate type of document.

Is the document too small? The minimum size of the document that can be loaded is 176
(width) x 210 (length) mm.

being used?
Correctly load the appropriate type of media.

Set the correct media size series and media type/weight to match

Are there any jammed sheets or
torn pieces of paper still

there a foreign object in the
machine?
Open the front door and pull out the roll unit to remove the torn
paper or the foreign object.
