5.1.5.1 PLC signal name editing
PLC signals can be edited in online mode (BS350 connected to a tightening system) or offline mode
(BS350 is not connected to a tightening system).
In the context menu of a PLC signal in the PLC assignment table, the following functions are available:
As of version V2.600 of the Rexroth Tightening System 350, the names of PLC signals can be edited.

Element Description
Edit name This entry enables editing of signal names. The PLC signal name dialog is
displayed. Enter the new name in the New signal name field. The dialog can also
be access by double clicking on the signal name.
By means of the tooltip, the name conventions are displayed. If the name does not
comply with the convention, a respective message is displayed. The name must
have between 2 and 20 characters. It must not be identical with an original name of
an input or output signal. Double entries are not permitted.
Reset name With this entry, the changed name can be reset to the original name. In the list, the
original name is display again. The name can also be reset by double clicking on the
signal name in thePLC signal name dialog to delete the name in the New signal
name field.
Localize With this entry, the selected PLC signal is displayed at the very top under
Assignment and highlighted in blue.
Copy name This entry enables copying of names.
Insert name With this entry, the copied name is displayed under New signal in dialog PLC
signal name.
