6.2.7 Mass storage diagnosis
The BS350 operating system also offers several diagnosis options for the CF350 memory module. You
can open the diagnosis via System test Mass storage.
Contents index card
The Contents index card illustrates the directory structure in the memory module much as Explorer does
in Windows. The directory for the ID code files (IDCode), as well as the tightening results directories (FO
and CH_xx_x) can be read. The administration data for transferring results to the FTP server can be found
in another directory labeled System.
Memory module capacity
An overview of the capacity still available in the memory module is given in the lower right-hand corner of
the window.
The free memory space of the memory module on the communication unit is monitored, so that an
overflow can be noticed in time. An acknowledgeable error message (error 2023, warning level mass
storage, error class 3) is generated to warn that mass storage is 80 % full. However, if mass storage is
90% full, an error that cannot be acknowledged (error 2024, mass storage is full, error class 4) is
generated (see error messages on page 258).
Editing directories
You can create a new directory or delete existing files and directories to reorganize data on the memory
module. However, you must be logged in to the tightening system to be able to use these functions (menu
Administration Log ON/OFF).
Since the ID-code files are also stored in the memory module, the diagnosis options listed above can also
be used for the ID-code.
The contents of a file can be shown in a text editor by double clicking a file name in the Contents index
card. It is, however, not possible to change the file in the memory module.
Only use these functions for exceptional cases, since inconsistencies may arise in the transferred results
when deleting or moving files.
