6.4.6 Effects stop field bus and communication stop field bus to I/O signals
Table 6–56 shows the behavior of the input signals and the output signals at the interface of the
Tightening System 350, if
the PLC partner controller stops communicating with the Tightening System 350 suddenly
a field bus cable is disconnected
6.4.7 Error messages in connection with field buses

Field bus Action Effects on I/O interface
Profibus 1. Commissioning system with
Profibus master
2. Select “
End communication
all inputs are set to LOW, i.e. they
are reset
the outputs are/remain set
accordingly or are resetDeviceNet 1. Commissioning system with
DeviceNet master
2. Select “
End communication
EthernetIP 1. Commissioning system with
EIPScan test tool
2. Select "

Profinet 1. Commissioning system with
SIMATIC S7 and OPC server
2. Select “
End communication
(disconnect server)
ModbusTCP For ModbusTCP, communication is implemented according to the client
server principle
Stopping the communication has effects on the input and output signals of
the Tightening System 350. The reason for this is that the input signals are
not polled continuously ("polling"). Instead, the input signals are set "once".
They maintain this value until they are reset.
