6.2.5 Results data transfer with Ethernet
The results data can be transferred after process end (asynchronous) or before process end
(synchronous).
You can find a detailed sequence of the actual PLC signals in chapter 5 Control signals, from page 121,.
6.2.5.1 Results transfer after process end of an application or single-channel tightening
The following example for a tightening application can be transferred to single-channel tightenings by
replacing the signals for an application (FO x …) by the corresponding signals (CH x.y …).
Fig. 6–16: Chronological sequence for preparing and asynchronously transferring the tightening results after process end of a
tightening application
The actual end of the tightening application (tightening and process communication unit completed) is
indicated by the evaluation signals (FO x Ok, FO x Nok) switching from L to H. At this point, the
tightening spindles can be removed from the processed component.
The tightening cycle is ended (PLC signal FO x CyCmp) after the results have been prepared and saved
to the mass storage.
The data transfer is implemented independently from the tightening process.
(A) Tightening application
(B) Buffer result (mass storage)
(C) Transfer via FTP
FO x CyCmp Process end
FO x OK Application OK
FO x ResRs Result reset
