3.4.2 Modular system
3.4.2.1 SB356 system box

The IP54-protected SB356 system box is designed for operation without a control cabinet. The system
box includes the control and power electronics for up to six tightening channels. In the simplest case, this
is a VM power supply module for internal system power supply, an SE control unit, an LT, LTU or LTS/
LTE servo amplifier, as well as a KE communication unit for internal and external communication. The
communication for the individual tightening channels is implemented in the system box.
Equipped, ready-to-use system boxes are available ex stock and thus significantly reduce the time
required for design, construction, and commissioning. Up to 16 system boxes or card racks or up to
40 tightening channels can be networked using network couplers and network coupler cables. A space-
saving design allows for easy integration in an entire system.
3.4.2.2 BT356 card rack field

The card rack fields have been designed for installation in 19" standard systems. They can be installed
directly on top of each other in an especially space-saving manner. All connections are accessible from
the front, making the card rack fields especially user-friendly.
The card rack field includes the control and power electronics for up to six tightening channels. In the
