6.3.5 Chronological sequence for tightening results data provision
6.3.5.1 Results data transfer for an application
Fig. 6–44: Chronological sequence for preparing and transferring the tightening results via 3964R protocol for a tightening
application
Here, the actual tightening end of the tightening application (tightening and process communication unit
completed) is indicated by the evaluation signals (FO x Ok, FO x Nok) switching from L to H as well. At
this point, the tightening spindles can be removed from the processed component.
Transfer via the 3964R protocol is implemented once the results have been processed. After the results
have been transferred successfully (positive acknowledgement with "DLE"), the tightening cycle is ended
(PLC signal FO x CyCmp).
Additional chronological sequences can be found in chapter 5, Control signals, from page 121.
(A) Tightening application
(B) Results data element(s) (PLC)
FO x Cw Start
FO x InCy Application active
FO x CyCmp Process end
FO x Ok Application OK
(1) Cycle
(2) Invalid
(3) Result valid
The results can no longer be accessed in the tightening system after they have
been successfully transferred to the partner controller or if the transfer was
disrupted.
Result valid refers to the memory area in the partner controller.
