6.3.5.2 Results data transfer for a single-channel tightening
Fig. 6–45: Chronological sequence for preparing and transferring the tightening results via 3964R protocol for a single-channel
tightening
Here, the actual end of the tightening process is also indicated by the evaluation signals (CH x.y Ok, CH
x.y Nok) switching from L to H. At this point, the tightening spindle can be removed from the processed
component.
Transfer via the 3964R protocol is implemented once the results have been processed. After the results
have been transferred successfully (positive acknowledgement with "DLE"), the tightening cycle is ended
(PLC signal CH x.y CyCmp).

(1) Cycle
(2) Invalid
(3) Result valid
The results can no longer be accessed in the tightening system after they have been successfully
transferred to the partner controller or if the transfer was disrupted.
Result valid refers to the
memory area in the partner controller.
In version 2.1 and below, the results output is not necessarily completed after a process end for single-
channel tightening.
