Fig. 3–4: Multi-channel tightening system based on the modular system
A tightening system based on the modular system consists of the following components:
Card rack field (BT) or system box (SB)
Power supply module (VM)
Communication unit (KE)
Control unit (SE)
Servo amplifier for the tightening spindle (LT/LTS) or ErgoSpin hand-held nutrunner (LTU/LTE)
Tightening spindle with connection cable or ErgoSpin hand-held nutrunner with connection cable
Version V2.200 or higher of the Rexroth Tightening System 350 features the additional option of
networking a compact system serving as slave with the modular system, see Fig. 3–3. In such a
configuration the compact system replaces the control unit. Communication is implemented via the
following network couplers:
NK350S in the modular system
NK350 in the compact systems 1…15
The BS350 operating system has a menu-assisted user interface, which makes it easy to configure and
program the tightening channels via a laptop or PC.
Card rack fields can be quickly and simply integrated in control cabinets. Alternatively, a system box is
available for operation without a control cabinet. The system box's space-saving, flexible design allows for
easy integration in an entire system.
System boxes can withstand ambient temperatures of up to +40 °C without an air conditioning unit and
thus help reduce operating costs. They are protected according to IP54.
Ask Rexroth about equipped, ready-to-use system boxes. They help you reduce the time required for
design, construction, and commissioning.
