Mains lead colours
The following is applicable to Class I apparatus supplied with a flexible cord having
cores coloured green-and-yellow, brown, and blue.
Important! The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with the
following code.
Connecting the mains lead
Mains lead wire colours may not correspond with the colour markings of the
terminals in your plug.
Neutral terminal. Note: The Neutral terminal is
typically marked N or coloured black.
Live terminalNote: The Live terminal is typically
marked L or coloured red.
Earth terminal. Note: The Earth terminal is typically
marked E (or marked with the safety earth symbol ( ),
or coloured green and yellow.
