On STC engines, loosen the mounting clips from the
external oil manifold at the No. 3 rocker housing. Remove
the external oil manifold connector from rocker housing
No. 3. Approximately 1/2-inch clearance is needed be-
tween the oil manifold and the rocker housing for the
engine lifting bracket installation.
On CELECT™ engines, remove the CELECT™ injector
wiring harness.
Position the service lifting bracket, Part No. 3823835,
over the rear rocker housing being careful not to damage
the CELECT™ injector wiring rocker housing pass through
connectors (CELECT™ only) or external oil manifold and
connector (STC engines only).
Attach the left plate of the lifting bracket to the fuel pump
side of the rear rocker housing. Install the four 3/8-16x1
inch UNC (Grade 8) mounting capscrews and washers.
Torque Value: 75 N•m [55 ft-lb]
Caution: If all fasteners are not installed and properly
torqued, the lifting bracket will fail. Severe engine dam-
age and personal injury are possible.
