mdix
Use the mdix Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode command to enable
cable crossover on a given interface. Use the no form of this command to
disable cable crossover.
Syntax
mdix {on | auto}
no mdix
Parameters
• on —Enables manual MDIX.
•
auto —Enables automatic MDI/MDIX.
Default Configuration
The default setting is On.

Example
The following example enables automatic crossover on port 1/5.
Console(config)# i nterface gi1/0/1/5
Console(config-if)# mdix auto.
The following example enables automatic crossover on port
gigabitethernet 1/0/ 1.
Console(config)# interface gigabitethernet 1/0/5
Console(config-if)# mdix auto
